A foundational goal of the Strategic Partner Program, APIC’s platform for engagement with industry at the leadership and strategic level, is to promote balanced collaboration among healthcare professionals, industry, academia, and the Association. Central to promoting such collaboration are: one, making more visible the productive collaborations that already exist as a result of interactions between industry and healthcare professionals at the level of basic or translational research; and two, providing avenues for the sharing of information and knowledge that encourage better understanding among key players and may lead to new productive collaborations. In order to advance such balanced collaboration, APIC’s Strategic Partner Program hopes to launch Industry Perspectives, an online platform, in 2016. Industry Perspectives, focused on healthcare industry in infection prevention and control, and utilized for knowledge sharing and dissemination of expertise, will aim to:
